I am absolutely delighted to announce that Malcolm Lowe-Lauri will be joining Grant Thornton UK LLP as Head of Healthcare Advisory early next year. His appointment demonstrates Grant Thornton’s continued investment in this area and he will join Mark Stocks and I in leading the firm’s growing healthcare offering.
Currently Executive Director of Cambridge University Health Partners, Malcolm has had a distinguished career spanning 32 years in health services leadership and management, including 17 as a CEO.
Malcolm spent nearly four years in a global advisory role at KPMG, working closely with the Australian health system. He is a Fellow of the Cambridge Judge Business School, teaching on the MBA programme and delivering Operations in Practice workshops to clinical groups. He is also currently a panellist for NICE, where he reviews interventional procedures.
He has contributed to the development of key NHS policies including the performance ratings systems and metrics, the Foundation Trust Regime and the National Institute for Health Research.
As well as leading on public sector healthcare for the firm, Malcolm will develop and lead a new consulting offering to work alongside NHS organisations to develop realistic and deliverable plans. Malcolm chose to join Grant Thornton because he is passionate about delivering quality work for the firm’s broad client base, from high level strategy through to implementation and delivery.
Malcolm will start with the firm in January.
