Much has been written about Sustainable and Transformation Plans (STPs) and this quote is the key for moving agreed plans into action. In many areas, agreeing the contracts has been challenging as has agreeing STPs. The next step of reconciling both is likely to be difficult in some areas as is the need for consistency between provider CIPs and commissioner QIPPs.

“This plan will need to show how areas will manage activity and achieve the efficiencies in organisations’ contracts. Implementation plans will also need to reconcile these contracts with STPs where this has not been done already,” it said.
